Born in Bombay, India, Deborah Sawaf, the founder of this fast-growing line of bags grew up with countless creative and inspirational elements, which has constantly influenced her design. Deborah eventually moved to Dubai to follow her passion for fashion, and wound up launching luxury brand Desage and Talia. She then moved to Los Angeles to study at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and Gemological Institute of America. After designing for brands such as Gianfranco Ferre, Roberto Cavalli and Valentino, Deborah introduced, Thalé Blanc, fulfilling her dream of designing fashion-forward pieces. Thalé Blanc showcases Deborah’s ability to mix modern technology with her creativity, and each piece is inspired by her own experiences.
Each Thalé Blanc collection consists of day bags, totes, clutches, and evening bags; all crafted from the most exotic materials with fine components ranging from Swarovski crystals to leather knot handles.
Thalé Blanc inspirations came from a wide range of sources from the 1920’s, Renaissance, to the Baroque. Cheetah is the logo of Thalé Blanc, which symbolizes the graceful and strong nature of the founder; every collection has at least one product with the cheetah motif.
Among the Thalé Blanc SS20 collection, the Audrey Bags stand out with its signature design. Deborah drew her inspiration from the film Sabrina (1954), played by the one and only Audrey Hepburn. The bags are meant to evoke the charm exuded by Audrey in the film – after all, Audrey’s character personified effortless and elegance – just like the woman this line of bags is intended for!
