Charlie Fox Opened its Luxury Retail Flagship in the Heart of Times Square
Charlie Fox, purveyors of New York’s finest cannabis, opened its retail flagship on December 12, 2024 at 719 7th Avenue in the heart of Times Square. The three story, 10,000 square foot store is the largest cannabis retail store on the East Coast. Charlie Fox is a novel, luxury cannabis experience rooted in hospitality, featuring its eponymously named Charlie Fox line of cannabis, seasonal apparel and lifestyle accessories.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring Charlie Fox to the world’s greatest stage. We felt something missing in the retail cannabis market. So, we decided to create a store rooted in what we loved – restaurants, hotels and hospitality. Whether it is sommelier level service, a focus on quality ingredients, or emphasis on ingredients and low dosages, we hope Charlie Fox will be the first of many dispensaries to destigmatize cannabis and introduce it to new clients,” said Charlie Fox co-founder James Mallios.
Designed in partnership with Home Studios, the award-winning interior design firm, the store experience begins on the first floor: an old-world, apothecary inspired space for the guest on the go. The second-floor salon, a standout for its novel combination of attentive service and seated luxury experience, features an intimate bar, cannabis sommeliers attired in custom vests designed by Kimberly Taylor (made in New York), and banquet seating where Charlie Fox cannabis sommeliers conduct one-on-one appointments with guests to answer questions and assist in curating a product selection personalized to their individual needs. A retail lounge offers Charlie Fox branded apparel and the third floor “den”, slated to open in Spring 2025, will serve as a versatile event space to host immersive experiences and exclusive gatherings.
“Charlie Fox is a first of its kind retail brand experience”, said Creative Director and partner, Julia Levi. “We invite guests to escape the hustle and bustle of Times Square and explore the world of Charlie Fox – one that combines our two inspirations – the rich heritage of London and New York’s modern edge. The multiple floors allows us to create a sense of discovery that simultaneously evokes a familiar warmth,” she added.
The Charlie Fox line of premium cannabis products are sourced from New York farms and emphasize low doses of THC to ensure that the consumer controls their desired mood and affect. The signature offerings invite customers to choose from four distinct moods – Relax, Sleep, Social and Create. Each category is available in premium flower, vapes, pre-rolls and gummies. The brand also offers seasonal collections of Charlie Fox apparel, merchandise, smoking accessories and home goods that reflect its approachable luxury aesthetic and attention to detail.
As the legal cannabis market in New York is projected to match or exceed retail alcohol sales within 5 years, Charlie Fox has already set its sights on future growth. The brand plans to open additional retail locations in NYC and the Hamptons within 2025. For more information, visit https://shopcharliefox.com.
