08 May Kintsugi: Mouthwatering Omakase in the Heart of Soho
An omakase (from the Japanese phrase “I’ll leave it up to you”) is a traditional prix fixe meal, personally crafted daily by the chef. In other words, trust the chef who will make a selection of sushis and other unique dishes especially for you (taking into account your dietary restrictions). The chef sources and presents the season’s best offerings through multiple courses–from their hands directly to your plate–with the style and execution that allows for the purity of the ingredients to come forth.
Kintsugi (28 Grand St.) offers an unforgettable and intimate omakase experience in the heart of SoHo. With socially distanced outdoor dining otherwise unobtainable on the city sidewalks. There are 14 seats available outdoors for diners to enjoy outdoor omakase, which is $95 and includes miso soup, chef’s small plate, three selected sashimi pieces, seven selected classic and seasonal nigiri and Tekkamaki.
The restaurant is also open indoors from Tuesday – Sunday with lunch from 12:00pm – 4:00pm and dinner from 5:00pm – 11pm as well as Saturday with lunch from 2pm – 4pm and dinner from 5pm – 11pm.
