While New Yorkers are skeptical by nature, The Speakeasy Magick, a dazzling experience at The McKittrick Hotel (530 West 27th Street, NYC), home of Sleep No More, will challenge your perceptions with an unforgettable evening of intimate magic. Performances of Speakeasy Magick is now running three nights/week, Thursday – Saturday nights through April 2.
Produced by Emursive, Speakeasy Magick features parlor magic and up-close-and-personal prestidigitation by the city’s top magical talents. Host Todd Robbins (Monday Night Magic, Play Dead) is a veteran entertainer who brings decades of performing experience – on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and around the world – to The McKittrick each week.
Sleight-of-hand also extends to the bar, where the house signature Sleep No More and classic cocktails with a McKittrick twist are shaken up to order. A live jazz pianist completes the scene for an enchanting evening full of surprises.
During the performance, the magicians move around the different tables and engage guests over a glass of champagne and pop corn, and conversation stirs throughout a magical and fun evening. This fascinating show will amaze, intrigue and challenge the boundaries of your imagination as the magicians tricks take over, creating a unique experience not found anywhere else in the city. As the remarkable sensorial evening progresses, mysteries begin to unravel, building a crescendo through the final trick of the evening.
